How To Watch Los Angeles Angels vs Minnesota Twins Live Stream Online – MLB Game Day 2019

The Los Angeles Angels and the Minnesota Twins meet in the opener of a three game set in MLB action from Target Field on Monday night.

The Los Angeles Angels will look to bounce back after failing to complete the sweep of Baltimore, losing the series finale to the Orioles by a final score of 5-1 on Sunday. Mike Trout’s solo home run was the lone scoring that the Halos would do in the win while Kevan Smith doubled and Andrelton Simmons and Zack Cozart each had a base hit as L.A. cranked out just four hits as a team in the loss. Griffin Canning took the loss, falling to 1-1 on the year after allowing four runs on five hits while walking four and striking out six over 4.2 innings of work. Tyler Skaggs will start game one and is 3-3 with a 4.70 ERA and 28 strikeouts this season. In his career, Skaggs is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA and 15 strikeouts against Minnesota.

The Minnesota Twins will look to bounce back after settling for a series split with Detroit, dropping the series finale on Sunday by a final score of 5-3. Ehire Adrianza had a solo home run while Byron Buxton went 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Marwin Gonzalez went 2 for 4 with an RBI to round out Minnesota’s scoring in the loss. Jake Cave and Willians Astudillo each had a double with Cave going 2 for 4 at the dish. Martin Perez took the loss for the first time this season, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out seven over five innings of work to fall to 5-1 this season. Jose Berrios will start game one and is 6-1 with a 2.53 ERA and 51 strikeouts this season. In his career, Berrios is 1-1 with a 5.56 ERA and 6 strikeouts against the Angels.

Los Angeles is 10-5 in their last 15 games overall and 5-2 in their last 7 road games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games against the AL Central. Minnesota is 5-2 in their last 7 games and 8-3 in their last 11 home games while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 games overall. The under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in Minnesota.

Berrios has had a rough time in the past with the Angels, but the fact is that all Berrios has done over the last month is win, going 5-0 with a 2.76 ERA in five starts. Skaggs leads the Angels in wins just like Berrios for the Twins, but Skaggs is also coming off of his worst start of the season, allowing eight runs, seven earned, in just 4.2 innings against the same Detroit Tigers that Minnesota just played over the weekend. The plus money with the Angels is worth a look, but ultimately I think the Twins have a big pitching advantage here and given that the price isn’t too bad, I think Minnesota is the play here.
